O presidente da OAB/AP, Professor Auriney Uchôa de Brito, anunciou, no final de 2020, a mais nova funcionária integrante dos quadros da entidade advocatícia: a gatinha Dra. Leona.
Após o abalo pela morte de Leon, felino adotado no ano anteiro pela Ordem, a seccional cedeu aos encantos de Leona, que chegou à sede muito machucada, com sinais de atropelamento.
O intuito era cuidar dela apenas até que se recuperasse, mas a gatinha acabou conquistando o coração dos funcionários e seu espaço no local.
No ano de 2019, a OAB/AP adotou o gatinho Leon, que viralizou na web. Ele chegou até a sede da Ordem para se esconder do frio e da chuva, e foi recebido com muitos carinhos e mimos pelos funcionários. Porém, em junho de 2020, vítima de uma intoxicação, não resistiu, e deixou muita tristeza para quem teve a oportunidade de conhecẽ-lo.
Ao adotar uma nova felina, o presidente da OAB escreveu em seu perfil que;
“depois do Leon, confesso que ficamos resistentes à ideia de uma nova adoção. Ele deixou um vazio enorme e uma grande saudade. Mas aí apareceu essa mocinha”.
O nome Leona, certamente foi escolhido em homenagem ao antigo mascote.
A gata surgiu na sede bem machucada, em meio às folhas caídas de uma árvore. Então, foi socorrida e levada ao veterinário, e ficou constatado que havia sido vítima de um atropelamento. Estava com a cabeça, orelha e pernas feridas. Como lemos na postagem;
“Tomou todas as medicações e decidimos abrigá-la apenas até sua plena recuperação, mas em poucos dias ela conquistou nossos corações e o seu espaço de trabalho.”
Após conquistar o carinho dos funcionários, a Dra. Leona passou a ser integrante da OAB/AP. O presidente ainda brincou, num arremate:
“Agora as mulheres estão no comando!”.
